I wish to welcome readers to my blog. I created this blog to share the knowledge I have developed over the years while building my company, Sacha Cosmetics. I started the company 30 years ago with my meager savings. Over the years, I made every mistake in the book, most of which were avoidable. This blog has been created to assist readers to avoid the many pitfalls that hurt and crash so many small businesses.
Whenever I address a business forum, I am always asked "When are you going to write a book?". Even the Head of Business Studies at a recognized University has asked me this!
This blog, I hope, will subsitute for this book which I will never have the time to write. It will however give me the opportunity to offer advice to anyone who is starting a business or growing an existing business.
The advice I give will not be of the run-of-the-mill nature. It will not be the theory you read in books. It will be based on my many years of experience learning the hard way.

- I started Sacha Cosmetics 30 years ago, with little capital and tons of passion. Today Sacha is sold in 23 countries and worldwide @ www.sachacosmetics.com. Sacha was the Official Cosmetics of the Miss Universe and Miss USA Pageants. I started the company with zero knowledge of business. My mom was a hairdresser and like her, I also wanted to make women look beautiful. Along the way, I made every possible mistake, but I used every set back as a learning opportunity. So well did I learn that last year, our company was adjudged a country winner in an IADB sponsored regional competition for the most outstanding small to medium sized company. I have addressed several forums on business. I was the feature speaker at the annual congresses of the Goddard Group in Barbados and the Public Services Association in Trinidad. I have served as Chairman of the ruling Party in government in Trinidad, Vice Chairman of Plipdeco and President of the Arima Race Club. I was voted 1st Runner Up in the Prime Minister's most admired CEO in Trinidad and Tobago. I first built a successful small company then grew into a medium sized company that produces outstanding results.
